The video for "Dear God," the soulful first single from Monsters of Folk, featuring Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), M. Ward (She and Him), and Jim James (My Morning Jacket), is a kaleidoscopic affair. Directed by Laura Faggioni, the semi-animated film opens with a view of earth from space, zooming down on a man laid out on the ground. The perspective then goes microscopic, into the man's body, revealing the starry universe within one of his cells. It's, like, pretty spiritual.
