Sometimes, to think outside the box you gotta think within it. Such is the case with Boxed Water Is Better, a Michigan startup that has created a sustainable alternative to the eco-abomination known as bottled water. Company founder Benjamin Gott calls his venture "part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious."
Boxed Water's environmental credentials are pretty impressive. The carton packaging is made of paper from certified forests and flat packs for light, efficient shipping. Once the company becomes profitable, they'll be donating 10 percent of their profits to reforestation projects and another 10 percent to water conservation foundations.
It goes without saying that the best hydration option is good ol' water from the tap, filled in a reusable container. But if you're gonna buy packaged water, then Boxed Water most definitely is better.
