Great Green Street Art by Mosstika

Brooklyn-based artists Edina Tokodi and József Vályi-Tóth, aka Mosstika, have made it their mission to liven up the cold streets of New York City with doses of green. The eco-minded guerrilla art collective, whose work we recently spotted at Flavorwire, create living street art in the form of moss installations representing animal figures and camouflage outgrowths.

“We believe that if everyone had a garden of their own to cultivate, we would have a much more balanced relation to our territories,” they write. “It is with this notion in mind, that we at Mosstika, aim to collide the worlds of art and nature, creating havens of unexpected greenery, within the colder harsher environment.”
