We're loving the stark tranquility of these snowy photos by Akos Major. The Hungarian-born, Vienna-based photographer, who works as a graphic designer by day, pulls off a crisp, bright tone that imbues a Zen-like quality to his images. You can really feel the peaceful solitude that he must have experienced while shooting.

"I like to work slowly, in silent places, where I can get lost in the ambience," he says. "My photographic work is the essence of what I see, how I feel when I’m around with my gear."
