With their new video for "Sunloathe," visionary alt-folkies Wilco take a another run at animation, following on the Popeye-fueled "Dawned On Me" clip dropped earlier this year. Directed by Peter Glantz, the video features more than 100 original drawings by illustrator Nathaniel Murphy, who doubles as a drum tech for Wilco's Glenn Kotche. The story follows a ragtag bunch of fantastical creatures as they journey into the great abyss, with the end result, according to Glantz, reflecting "the complicated emotions expressed in the song, where we feel hope and sorrow coexist."
