England is one of my favorite places to photograph and wander through, and also happens to be my homeland. Nothing quite compares to an English garden in the summertime... armfuls of flowers, gooseberries, strawberries, the green trees under which blankets of daisies and buttercups lay.
So to shoot a sprawling English garden in the dead of winter was absoultely surreal. What I saw were rows of trees, orchards, flowerbeds, and shrubs suspended in animation in a nearly colorless bluish grey. Locked under winter's key, they seemed to be patiently waiting for the sun to dismiss the frost.
