Kerényi Zoltán juxtaposes images from the past with contemporary photos in his series titled Ablak a Múltra, translated as Window to the Past. Sourcing images from Fortepan, an online collection of amateur photos from throughout the 20th century, Zoltan overlays them onto his own photos shot from the exact same locations in Budapest.
Like Mark Klett and Byron Wolfe's Reconstructing the View series, featured recently on SHFT, Zoltan's work provides haunting new perspectives on place.
