Richard Muller, a prominent physicist and global warming skeptic, spent the last two years studying the earth's surface temperatures. In the end, he reached the same conclusion most climate scientists have held for years: the world is warming.
That a notable climate change skeptic has "seen the light" is significant in and of itself, but what's more interesting is that the study was backed in part by the Charles Koch Foundation, a bastion of global warming deniers that is well-known for funding climate skeptic groups.
"The skeptics raised valid points and everybody should have been a skeptic two years ago," Muller told the Washington Post. "And now we have confidence that the temperature rise that had previously been reported had been done without bias."
Muller's research did not address potential causes of global warming, but he said that "greenhouse gases could have a disastrous impact on the world."
"No kidding," replied us.
