Susan Sontag once wrote, “It seems positively unnatural to travel without taking a camera along.” These words inform Tourisms, a web-based collection of photographic travel guides, with a bunch of different photographers offering visual tours of the places they’ve been. Great concept. There are plenty to browse through, but “A Guide to the Shetland Islands,” from Glasgow-based photographer David Cooper, stands out as our fave.
