Every once in a while we stumble upon someone’s flickr and our minds get blown. This would be one of those cases.
Born in Adelaide and based in Sydney, Aussie photographer Luke Byrne got started taking pictures with his dad’s old SLR. He’s been shooting ever since. With a keen eye for concept, composition, and light, Byrne captures moody, beautiful travel pictures on both film and digital, combining human subjects and natural landscapes.
“I love finding a beautiful Ansel Adams style landscape and placing one of my ratty mates in there,” he says. “The juxtaposition of those two things is very interesting to me.”
