Welcome to Dallas, TX. It’s been said that the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex is larger than Rhode Island. Try driving through it in less than half an hour without breaking the speed limit or sound barrier...or just slow down, get off the freeway and enjoy a day exploring Dallas, TX using the Food Tripping app.
This day begins like many others: with a search to find the best-tasting, strongest coffee you can find. Make your way to Oddfellows, tucked away in Oakcliff. Their roasted single origin coffee might be one of the best espressos you can find in Texas. And if you miss breakfast, don't worry - it's served all day.
Next, go to the Dallas Farmers’ Market. One of my personal favorites, it’s been open since 1941 and displays products from a 150 mile radius. With a stunning backdrop of downtown Dallas, it’s worth a visit to experience how city Texans have been supporting their farmers for six decades.
After a long day in downtown Dallas, watch the world go by from the street side patio of Sundown at Granada, sipping on a local beer. Not only is their farm-to-table menu mostly organic, local, and seasonal, but it’s also proudly 97% GMO-Free. Sundown is also located right next door to the famous Granada Theater. With music most nights a week, hopefully you’ll get lucky and score a few last minute tickets to a show.
