Moody Painterly Photos

  • Posted by Peter Glatzer on September 11, 2014 in Art
  • We’ve seen lots of hyperrealistic paintings that enable a painted image to appear to be a photograph, but does it work the other way around? With the camera in the hands of photographer Kristoffer Axen it certainly does. His photographs truly feel as if they were paintings.  With the help of dark filters, and otherworldly lighting, he creates the illusion of gloomy, ominous rainy scenarios that seem like they could only be managed with a brush. Beautiful stuff.
