In the newly unveiled Panamera S Hybrid, Porsche has created a fuel-thrifty, green-minded sports car that drives like, well, a Porsche.
The company is calling the Panamera Hybrid the world's fastest production hybrid and "the most economical" Porsche of all time. With a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph, you can't deny the speed claims. But with a base price of $95,000, "economical" is not the first word that comes to mind.
The hybrid uses a 3.0-liter, supercharged V-6 engine coupled with an electric motor and nickel-metal hydride battery pack to provide a total of 380 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque.
There's (just) enough room for four people in the vehicle, so after tearing around the racetrack, you can take the whole family out for dinner. If, that is, you have any money left.
