The 2013 edition of SXSW Interactive promises to be bigger and better than ever, and we're more than a little psyched to be in on the action. With our two partners, Ford Motor Company and The Weather Company (formerly The Weather Channel), we're hosting SHFT in Austin, a tech and innovation event featuring the Green Gadget Lab, a Year on the Road travel photo exhibition, an expert panel on climate change, and a music showcase presented by the Wreckroom.
We'll also be announcing the Earth Day launch of Food Tripping, our latest collaboration with the good people at Ford. Food Tripping is a free app that points users to a broad range of fresh, local, seasonal, healthy food options on-the go.
The festivities take place on Monday, March 11th from 11AM to 6PM at Bourbon Girl, 212 E 6th Street in downtown Austin.
The panel discussion, "Climate Change and the Individual," kicks off at 2:30PM. It features SHFT honchos Peter Glatzer and Adrian Grenier, TWC Chairman and CEO David Kenny, and TWC Director of Meteorology Dr. Jeff Masters, with moderation from Fast Company's Ellen McGirt.
Peter and Adrian will also be taking part in an official SXSW panel discussion, "Power of Good: Activate Your Audience for a Cause," alongside Stephen Fox from Drink Water and Lisa Pike Sheehy from Patagonia. That's on Monday eve at the Austin Convention Center from 5-6PM.
Whew, lots of stuff happening. This is going to be good. If you're in town, come through and check it all out!
