Shouts out to Jim Moriarty and Surfrider Foundation. In 2005, the coastal conservation group set a goal for 150 "coastal victories" by 2010. They defined a coastal victory as “a decision made in favor of the coastal and ocean environment that results in a positive conservation outcome, improves coastal access, or both.” On December 1, they nailed it. Kudos, Surfrider. (via QPeeps)
In new Russia, nature IS canvas. Russian Artist Yevgeny Dobrovinsky ventures outside with a pocketful of fake eyes and ladies' underwear to make these awesome and hilarious installations.
At first, taking photos underwater was just something Mark Tipple did to pass the time while the surf was flat. Since then, it's blossomed into the Underwater Project, a mesmerizing submarine photo collection with prints available for sale. Check out the Bubbles Gallery. Duuuuuuude. Wow.
