Stefan Sagmeister: The Happy Show

From therapy to meditation, anti-depressants to religion, the search for happiness takes many forms. For the last ten years, graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister has been exploring the idea of happiness, the results of which are gathered in new show at Philadelphia’s Institute of Contemporary Art.

“I am usually rather bored with definitions,” Sagmeister says. “Happiness, however, is just such a big subject that it might be worth a try to pin it down.”

Titled The Happy Show, the exhibition includes work in print, infographics, sculpture, installation, and film.
