For the 95-or-so percent of us that live in urban centers, the image of a quiet retreat somewhere in the country holds a special appeal. One look at the wildly popular Cabin Porn site, where internet surfers go to daydream about chopping wood, shows the imprint that images of nature retreats have on the city-dweller's consciousness.
Browsing LA photographer Ye Rin Mok's site, we came across these beautiful photos of a tiny cabin in Topanga Canyon. With one room and a couple outdoor garden plots, the cabin is equipped for simple living. And it looks like the perfect place to lock down and do some creative work. We're not sure if that's Ye Rin herself in the photos (anyone know?), but whoever it is has a sweet place.
Ye Rin's portfolio is deep with beautiful, dreamy images, so be sure to have a look around. Her latest booklet, Southwest, featuring photos of plantlife in the American Southwest, recently went up for sale as well. Looks rad.
