Steve Kenn, formerly of Temple Bags, interprets green design in more ways than one. The Los Angeles designer has recently resurfaced with his own collection of locally-made contemporary furniture, which he upholsters using repurposed WWII canvas in muted Army green. Dubbed the Inheritance Collection, the series includes this gorgeous chair and ottoman combo with a rusted-then-varnished steel frame that interacts beautifully with the softened green canvas. The design is topped off with adjustable leather and webbing belts that keep the cushions in place as the furniture ages.
if you're into the Ace Hotel interior design aesthetic -- and really, who isn't? -- then Kenn's furniture is for you.
