Designer Matt Singer linked up with Monroe, Washington's Rivendell Mountain Works to craft this limited-edition backpack, with partial proceeds benefiting the Million Trees NYC initiative. The ambitious tree-planting project aims to raise one million new trees across New York City’s five boroughs over the next decade.
"Living in New York City makes you acutely aware of the beneficial effects Nature can play on large urban environments," Matt says. "Trees are an integral part of New York City—they help clean our air, reduce the pollutants that trigger asthma attacks, and make New York City an even more beautiful and comfortable place to live, work, and visit."
The impeccably-designed, two-toned bag is handmade in the Washington Cascades with the sturdiness and quality for which Rivendell has come to be known since the 1970s. Thoughtful details abound, including a custom embroidered Million Trees NYC patch, 12 barbell leather tie-on points, and a leather haul strap. The pack is available in limited quanitities, so act fast.
