Adrift

Here’s a fantastic bit of personal work from San Francisco photographer Simon Christen. For two years, each morning when the weather looked promising, Christen would get up at 5AM and drive to the Marin Headlands, where he would hike the ridges to capture time-lapse footage of fog and mist rolling over the Bay Area. The result is Adrift, a gorgeous filmic tribute to an amazing natural phenomenon.

From the photographer:

“Adrift” is a love letter to the fog of the San Francisco Bay Area. I chased it for over two years to capture the magical interaction between the soft mist, the ridges of the California coast and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. This is where “Adrift” was born.
