James "Moving On"

The latest creation by BAFTA-nominated animator Ainslie Henderson is a heart-wrenchingly beautiful stop-motion video made using yarn. The clip was created  for “Moving On” by UK band James, a track written about the passing of lead singer Tim Booth’s mother. Henderson depicts a story of life and death in yellow wool, with a young woman dancing freely in one scene, while a character in hospital gradually slips away in another, as the wool she is made from unravels in front of a loved one. Powerful stuff.

“Moving On” is the first single from James’ forthcoming album La Petite Mort, out next month.
