Purity Ring, "Fineshrine"

  • Weirdly beautiful video directed by Young Replicant

The wait is almost over for the release of Purity Ring's debut LP, Shrines, due out July 24th on legendary avant-pop label 4AD. In advance of the release, the Canadian duo just dropped this video for "Fineshrine," the best song we've heard off the album. Directed by Young Replicant, the video presents a scene involving an injured patient, a gorgeous girl, and some scissors, before descending into a beautiful and weird dream that's as cinematic as music videos get. Truth be told, after two complete watches we still haven't the slightest clue what's going on in it. Watch and get confused.
